Surf & Water Safety Disclaimer
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Please read this carefully. By using SeaYouSurf (operated by Not a Startup AB, SE559566425001) you accept the following.
1. Forecasts are estimates, not guarantees
Surf forecasts, conditions, tide information, and the personalised "SkillMatch" score are estimates generated from third-party data and models. They may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable, and real conditions can differ significantly. Nothing in the Service is a promise that conditions are safe.
2. Surfing is dangerous
Surfing and entering the ocean carry serious risks, including drowning, injury, currents, rocks, marine life, sudden weather changes, and cold. You are solely responsible for assessing conditions and your own ability before entering the water.
3. Use your own judgement
A high match score or a "go" suggestion is informational only and is not advice that it is safe for you to surf. Always check conditions in person, heed local warnings, lifeguards, and flags, never surf alone if you are unsure, and know your limits.
4. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Not a Startup AB accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any forecast, score, or community report within it.
5. Emergencies
In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately (112 in the EU).
