SeaYouSurfCookie Policy

This policy explains how SeaYouSurf, operated by Not a Startup AB (SE559566425001), uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and in our iOS and Android apps.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. We also use similar technologies, chiefly local storage in your browser (and the equivalent storage inside our mobile apps), which works the same way from a privacy point of view: something is kept on your device between visits.
2. Strictly necessary
Required to run the Service. These cannot be switched off, and we do not ask consent for them.

3. Preferences
Your own settings, kept on your device in local storage, not sent to third parties.

4. Analytics
- Google Analytics: helps us understand how the Service is used. Where it is enabled it sets cookies, and it loads only after you accept analytics cookies. Nothing from Google is loaded before you choose.
- Vercel Web Analytics: measures page traffic without cookies. It stores nothing on your device, assigns you no identifier, and cannot follow you to other sites. Because it is cookieless it runs without a consent prompt, under our legitimate interest in knowing whether the Service works.
5. What we do not use
No advertising or marketing cookies. No third-party ad networks, no ad-tech pixels, no cross-site tracking, and no advertising identifier (no IDFA) in the mobile apps.
6. Consent, and changing your mind
Where required by law we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies through our cookie banner before setting them. You can change your choice at any time under Profile → Settings → Privacy, or from the banner on our websites, and we will ask again at least every 12 months.
You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear our mobile apps' storage from your device settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and may break parts of the Service.

We may update this policy; the latest version is always posted here.
